Balochistan to promote art and artists
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch has said that the government will utilise all available resources to promote art and artists in the province.
“During the past month, seven million rupees have been spent for the welfare of the renowned artists in acknowledgment of their art,” he said while speaking on the occasion of Artist Day held in connection with Balochistan Sports Festival, on Tuesday. He further said that artists are an asset of any country and they are considered as the ambassadors of their nation abroad, adding that we have to promote the culture of Balochistan through sports festival, encourage the players and bring their talent before the world.
The chief minister said that he has ordered the authorities concerned to assist the people linked with the field of art and culture in every possible way. Responding to a question, he said that the credit of the Balcohistan festival and its successful conduct goes to the coalition government which went for it despite multitude of problems in place.
