Country on fast track of economic development: Pervaiz Rashid

RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said concrete policies of the present elected government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has placed the country on fast track of economic development which would bring socio-economic prosperity for the people and Pakistan would be considered as a developed country in the near future.
This was stated by the federal minister while addressing a reception hosted by Pakistani origin Japanese trader Hamid Mir.
He appreciated the contribution of Mir who is settled in Japan and rendering meritorious services for his countrymen and for the prosperity of Pakistan by promoting trade relations between Pakistan and Japan. He said that it’s time to promote the soft image of Pakistan abroad and explore new avenues of bilateral trade and commerce. He appreciated the efforts of Mir who had devoted himself to bring foreign investment in Pakistan and working as a bridge between the traders of both countries.
The federal minister termed trade and commerce as backbone of country’s economy and said that the government has provided very conducive environment for investment in different sectors.
He also mentioned the positive response and active participation of foreign companies for investment in Pakistan and said that it was a very healthy sign and would bring economic growth in the country.
Senator Chaudhry Tanveer also lauded the active role and services of Mir for business promotion activities in Japan and Pakistan also. He said that the PML-N government is committed to resolving the sufferings of common man by undertaking new initiatives in different sectors.
Hamid Mir expressed his gratitude for compliments and said that it is his cherished wish to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and trade relations between Pakistan and Japan. He paid tribute to the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for implementing infrastructure development of mega projects in Pakistan, which would provide modern facilities and fast means of communications for industrial development. He said a number of Japanese companies intend to invest in Pakistan and it would open new opportunities of employment and business.
