Not facing any inquiry, says FIA's Shahid Hayat
KARACHI: Shahid Hayat, Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindh, on Tuesday rejected reports that he was facing inquiry by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), county’s top anti-corruption body.
Addressing a press conference, he said the neither FIA, nor NAB were holding any inquiry against him or his subordinates.
He said his officers and he were being vilified for the last few weeks. “We are employees of federal government, not servants of any individual,” he said, expressing resolve that his department would not go against anybody in violation of laws.
“Nor will we make any move that could jeopardize atmosphere of investment,” he said.
