NAB set to file corruption reference against Dr Asim Hussain
KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to file a corruption reference against the former advisor for petroleum, Dr Asim Hussain.
The decision was taken at the NAB’s board meeting presided over by its chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry.
According to a NAB announcement, the references says that Dr Asim Hussain allotted contracts in Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). Dr Asim also faces charges of importing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at exorbitant rates.
NAB also accuses Dr Asim Hussain of causing Rs17.338 billion loss to the national exchequer.
