Safe Secure Pakistan-2015 draws huge number of visitors
KARACHI: The 12th three-day International Safe Secure Pakistan-2015 exhibition concluded at the Pakistan-China Convention Centre in the federal capital on a successful note, as foreign exhibitors booked orders worth millions of dollars during three days of the security show.
The foreign exhibitors at the exhibition viewed Pakistan as a potential market for this sector, as the local market has become quality conscious and is investing in latest safety, security and surveillance technology. Jaco Labuschagne, export sales associate from South Africa representing Nemtek, sees lots of potential in the local market for the technology his company is offering. “We are here in the exhibition for the fifth time. We have the products dealing in sensitive electric fencing of walls and premises. I see our product as a household item in the upcoming scenario of security awareness in Pakistan,” he added.
Over 200 companies from 30 countries — Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, Norway, Japan Pakistan, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine and USA — are displaying their brands at the Safe Secure Pakistan exhibition.
“Pakistan in the current security situation seems to be a big market for us,” said a foreign exhibitor. Local exhibitors are also glad with the response to the three-day event.
“This is our first time at the Safe Secure Pakistan. We are having a good response. The product line we are offering includes home-based emergency service like home-based fire extinguisher, emergency backpack kit, emergency masks and fire blankets,” said Imtiaz Rahim, chief executive officer of Solutioners Consulting.
Maj-Gen Asghar Nawaz, chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority, had formally inaugurated the three-day exhibition.
A large number of government officials, business professionals, diplomats, foreign defence attaches and delegates and officers from various defence and industrial organisations visited the three-day event and took interest in the latest technology. They appreciated the Safe Secure Pakistan exhibition in Islamabad.
The products displayed in the exhibition included intelligence equipment, fire fighting equipment, industrial safety equipment, alarm systems, safe city parameters, gate security access control systems, surveillance cameras, thermal imaging cameras, fire resistant doors, industrial safety shoes, fire protection paints and security software. Pegasus Consultancy has organised more than 150 local and international exhibitions in Pakistan. The 13th edition of the Safe Secure Pakistan-2016 will be held again in Islamabad next year.
