PM, army chief arrive in Saudi Arabia to witness military exercise

HAFAR UL BATIN - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, arrived in Saudi Arabia here on Wednesday on a three-day official visit.

He was received at King Saud Airport by Royal family members, Saudi Defence Minister Muhammad bin Salman and other high officials. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and PM’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the prime minister during the visit.

PM Nawaz went to King Khalid military city from Hafar Ul Batin, where he attended a dinner hosted by the Custodian of Harmain al Sharifain. PM Nawaz will attend the concluding ceremony of "North Thunder" military exercises on Thursday along with the other heads of states and majesties, who's countries are taking part in north thunder military exercise.

The exercises are being held in Saudi Arabia jointly by 21 countries including the five Gulf countries and Pakistan.
