PTI demands army deployment in NA-267
QUETTA – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday demanded to deploy army in NA-267 constituency of Jhal Magsi-Kachhi by-polls.
PTI Information Secretary Naeemul Haq while writing a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Raza Khan has said that the party does not have any confidence on Balochistan chief secretary Jhal Magsi and the Kachhi district coordination officers.
The PTI has put forward the request that instead of appointing provincial and district authorities as representative officers (ROs) and DCOs, judicial officers should be given the charge. The party has also demanded that the election schedule should be issued as soon as possible and polling should be conducted in April.
The NA-267 seat fell vacant after the Supreme Court upheld the Election Tribunal verdict ordering re-election in the National Assembly constituency where the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi was disqualified on alleged rigging in 2013 general elections.
