Sindh Minister for Prisons dismisses MQM claims
KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Prisons, Sohail Anwar Siyal Sunday rejected the claims of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar in which the latter said loyalties of detained MQM workers were changed by subjecting them to torture.In a media statement, Anwar Siyal categorically discarded the claims of jail inmates’ torture, saying a routine inspection of prisons is conducted regularly.
The provincial Minister for Prisons further said that all the jail inmates are provided facilities without any discrimination.
Earlier, MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar at a press conference maintained that loyalties of his party’s workers detained in prisons were changed through torture.
