APML postpones central council’s meeting due to Musharraf’s illness

ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) secretary general on Monday announced postponement of its central council’s meeting due to poor health of party chief and former president general (r) Pervez Musharraf. Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held on March 22-23 in Karachi, he said in a statement. APML Secretary General Dr Muhammad Amjad further said that the meeting schedule would be announced later. Dr Amjad informed that health of Pervez Musharraf is not good and he cannot preside over the meeting. He said that Musharraf’s backbone operation is necessary and it is not possible in Pakistan. Musharraf could not go out of country for treatment as his name is in ECL (Exit Control List). Dr Amjad demanded the government to allow Musharraf to go abroad for medical treatment.
