Bookies put billions at stake on T20 matches
ISLAMABAD: Bookmakers have put billions of rupees at stake on the matches of T-20 Cricket World Cup, which is being played in India. The number of bookies as well as the amount which is at stake on the T-20 World Cup is increasing day by day not only in the federal capital but also in the rest of the country. It is learnt that bookies have declared India as hot favourite for the T-20 World Cup and they have fixed the rate of Re1 against Rs2.30. The bookmakers have placed Australia on the second position for which the rate of Re1 against Rs4.80 has been fixed. For South Africa, they have set the rate of Re1 against Rs5. Similarly, for the team England the rate was set at Re1 against Rs7.80. For West Indies, the rate is fixed at Re1 against Rs13.50, whereas for New Zealand it has been set at Rs9. For the Pakistan cricket team, bookies have closed the book at Re1 against Rs19 and for Sri Lanka it rises to Rs27.
