Musharraf won’t return before 2018: Wassan
SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Manzoor Wassan on Saturday said Pervez Musharraf’s travel abroad is a ‘surprise’ for those who had claimed they would never compromise on principles.
“Musharraf will not return to Pakistan before 2018,” Manzoor Wassan said while speaking to media men here.
He said today Pakistan’s judiciary is much stronger, adding the replacement of IG Sindh had to be made due to the Supreme Court’s observations.
Wassan regretted that fabricated cases were being made against PPP but added that the party had managed to pull itself out of worse conditions in the past.
He warned that a steady increase in Sindh’s sense of deprivation could prove dangerous.
The PPP leader said former Karachi Mustafa Kamal would create ‘wonders’ in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and not in PPP.
He claimed that a boost in trade with India is proving to be detrimental for the domestic farmers, particularly, those of Sindh.
When asked about the result of today’s World Twenty20 match between India and Pakistan, he said Pakistan would emerge victorious in the contest.
