NAB rebuffs report on probe against PM Nawaz
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday rejected media report that it was probing a money laundering case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The country’s top anti-corruption body on Friday issued a statement terming such reports baseless and unfounded. “NAB adheres to policy of not discussing individual cases in media. However, NAB is mindful of some irresponsible elements peddling scandalous and sensational rumors in garb of journalism”, said the statement.
The NAB asserted that no such action is under consideration, stressing the need for verification and authenticity city of news items.
