Cell phone service suspended in twin cities
Full dress rehearsal of Pakistan Day Parade underway

ISLAMABAD – Mobile phone service in Islamabad and Rawalpindi was suspended on early Monday morning as a precaution to avert any untoward incident ahead of Pakistan Day parade rehearsal.

Stringent security measures are in place in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to avoid any untoward incident on the National Day, March 23. Rangers and police have enhanced patrolling as a dress rehearsal is currently underway.

– Pakistan Day Parade underway –

As part of preparations for Pakistan Day Parade, a full dress rehearsal is in progress at the Parade Venue here. Preparations of March 23 (Pakistan Day) parade hold a significant place in the history of Pakistan and to mark this day in a befitting manner, Armed Forces Pakistan Day Parade will be held in a spectacular manner.

Stringent security measures are in place in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to avoid any untoward incident. Rangers and police have enhanced their patrolling at important points.

– Traffic Plan–

A traffic plan has been issued for twin cities (Islamabad and Rawalpindi) in connection with traditional Pakistan Day parade. According to ISPR, entry of heavy traffic has been banned in Islamabad and Rawalpindi till one pm on Monday.

Road between Rawal Dam Chowk to Faizabad Interchange will remain close for traffic till three pm. Traffic on Express Highway coming to Islamabad will be diverted at Missile Chowk to Khanna Pul, Captain Naeem Faisal Shaheed Road and Rawal Dam Chowk.

Traffic on IJP road will be diverted at Faizabad to 9th avenue and Kashmir highway. Traffic on Murree Road coming to Islamabad will be diverted at Stadium Road to 9th avenue and Kashmir highway.
