'Dictatorship of Lahore Throne’ unacceptable: Bilawal
RAHIMYAR KHAN: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while terming Pakistan’s Parliament, court, media and bureaucracy as a ‘rubber stamp’ said he will spearhead a campaign against all.
“There is no democracy in the Punjab. The dictatorship of ‘Throne of Lahore’ isn’t acceptable at any cost,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said while addressing the newly elected Local Government’s Chairmen here in Jamal Din Wali.
The PPP Chairman advised the party’s LG representatives to maintain contact with the people because both ‘media and judiciary are not on their side’.
He said the PPP allowed Punjab government a ‘honey moon period’ by refraining from any opposition in the province. “But, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif could not even digest just one speech,” he added.
He complained that during his rally loadshedding was carried out and even the sound system was disrupted.
Later, talking to media persons he said the number of times Nawaz Sharif undertook foreign trips outstrips his visits to the parliament. “Isn’t he answerable to the people,” he questioned.
