Christian community contributing in Pakistan’s development: president
Govt committed to safeguarding rights of minorities: PMISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in their separate messages on Sunday felicitated Christian community on the occasion of Easter.
President Mamnoon said Christian community not only played an important role in the Pakistan movement but was also contributing in the development of the country.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the government was committed to safeguarding rights, safety, honour, life and property of all minorities in the country.
He said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah unequivocally declared a policy of equality, freedom and security for all communities living in Pakistan, irrespective of their religion, profession and ethnic origin.
