Gen. Raheel witnesses Pak-Turkey joint exercise
RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC), Pabbi and witnessed Pak–Turkey joint Exercise “ATATURK-IX”.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here, two weeks long exercise “ATATURK-IX’’ was conducted at high altitude deep snow environment at Rattu near Astore and later in urban environment at Pabbi near Jhelum.
Troops from Turkish Special Forces and Turkish Mountain Commando participated in exercise along with Pakistan Army troops.
The exercise is a series of yearly joint exercise between two armies.
