Kashmir settlement through tripartite talks stressed

ISLAMABAD - Hurriyet leader and the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt has called for tripartite dialogue involving Pakistan, India and the Genuine Kashmiri leadership to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris' aspirations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Zafar Akbar Butt during his meeting with party leaders and activists of Jammu, Poonch and Doda at Bathendi in Jammu said, "A constructive dialogue among India, Pakistan and the genuine leadership of Kashmiris will pave way for peaceful resolution of the dispute."
People across the Line of Control want lasting and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, he added.
He said that all natural routes connecting the two parts of Jammu and Kashmir must be opened. He also demanded shifting of Kashmiri political prisoners from Indian jails to the occupied territory as authorities in Indian jails were not providing basic facilities to the inmates.
During the meeting the ongoing liberation movement and prevailingpolitical scenario of the territory were discussed thoroughly.
Zafar Akbar Butt also paid tributes to martyrs Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, Jaleel Andrabi and Shabir Sidiqui.
