Pakistani national killed in Jakarta

 

ISLAMABAD: Akasha Rao, a Pakistani national who had gone to Indonesia last month was kidnapped and murdered on April 26 in Jakarta.

According to details, the body of Akasha, who went to Jakarta to meet his Indonesian wife and son, was found by the police
the next day, said a press release issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta on Sunday.

To honour the wishes of the victim’s family, the Pakistani Embassy has made arrangements for the body to be released from the custody of the Indonesian Police and have it transported back to Pakistan at the government’s expense.

The police were able to arrest the suspected killer on Friday, as a result of active coordination between the victim’s family in Pakistan and the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta.

The embassy has requested the Indonesian government to complete the investigation for an expeditious trial in the court. app
