BB case: none beyond investigation including federal ministers
ISLAMABAD: The core committee of PPP, met here on Monday, decided not to spare anyone from investigation in assassination case of former premier Benazir Bhutto including former federal ministers, Geo news reported.
It further resolved to go on taking action even against former president Pervez Musharraf if the evidences were found, leading to hold him guilty of involving in assassination.
The meeting was jointly chaired by President and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
Also, the meeting reposed confidence on the progress so far made by Fact Finding Committee (FFC) probing into BB’s assassination case.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik briefed PPP’s core committee over progress of FFC in investigation into murder.
Talking to newsmen, the spokesman to president Farhatullah Babar said the FFC will continue investigation and will question more people including the former federal ministers, which will present an investigative report to Premier Gilani.
Subsequently, the FCC will also consider findings of UN probe committee and will take further actions in lights of its findings, he maintained.
According to sources, the FFC has found to large extent the suspects involved in hosing down BB’s assassination site and it will soon reveal them.
The core committee also discussed the issues relating to resolution of ongoing power crisis in country, sources said.
