PML-Q to launch campaign for south Punjab province todayMULTAN: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) will kick start its campaign for the establishment of a separate province for the people of south Punjab from today, former chief minister and PML-Q President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Tuesday.
Talking to journalists, he said south Punjab as a separate province was what the local people wished for and the PML-Q had decided to actively pursue a campaign for this purpose. Elahi said his party would organise public meetings and hold rallies in this connection. He added that PML-Q would also take the people of Bahawalpur into confidence and raise this issue in the Senate. app
