Corruption at peak; no action on SC verdicts: Nawaz
RAIWIND: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Friday said no action is being taken on Supreme Court’s verdicts while corruption is at peak as new scandals are making headlines every day.
A PML-N delegation from Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa called on Nawaz Sharif here.
He said the central government had squandered two precious years in the restoration of judiciary and the Constitution. The inefficient steps of the government are adding to the difficulties of the people, he added.
“Had the government repealed the 17th amendment in the light of Chater of Democracy (CoD) and resolved the rest of the issues by introducing 19th amendment, the political parties would not have to write dissenting notes nor would there have been protests in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa,” the PML-N Chief observed.
PML-N, he said, would make every possible effort for fulfilment of legitimate demands of Hazara brethren.
