Shahbaz asks Center not to block Hamish’s extradition
LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has advised the federal government to refrain from creating a hurdle in extradition of Hamish Khan, the main accused in Punjab Bank scam case.
In a statement released today, he said the US court has ordered Khan’s extradition to Pakistan. However, the federal government, especially the law ministry is yet to send a letter to the US administration in this regard.
“If any further delay was made in this connection, the return of Hamish Khan to the country would become impossible,” he said.
The chief minister urged the Prime Minister to take am immediate notice of the issue.
