Pak receives US letter for Faisal probe: Malik
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said he received a letter from the US requesting formally for the investigations regarding Faisal Shehzad detained in the US over New York Times Square incident, Geo News reported Saturday.
Also, the orders have been issued for registering the case and the investigations under Anti-Terror Act, he observed.
Talking to media at Benazir Bhutto Airport, he said the allegations leveled on Faisal Shehzad included his South Waziristan Agency visit and meeting Hakeemullah Mehsud and Qari Hussain.
The US allegations against Shehzad will be properly probed and orders in this connection have been issued.
The federal minister said Pakistani investigation agencies will look into the case.
Responding a query, he told that investigations into the Faisal case will be transparent and general public would be kept abreast of any development in this regard.
