No action being taken on SC verdicts: Nawaz
LAHORE: No action is being taken on the Supreme Court’s verdicts, a private TV channel quoted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif as saying on Friday. Talking to a PML-N delegation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nawaz said new scandals being revealed on a daily basis showed that corruption was at its peak. He said the central government took two years to restore the judiciary and the constitution. “Had the government repealed the 17th Amendment in the light of Charter of Democracy (CoD) and resolved the rest of the issues by introducing the 19th Amendment, political parties would not have to write dissenting notes nor would there have been protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Nawaz said. daily times monitor
