PPP, MQM vow to keep up contacts: Farooq
KARACHI: Deputy Convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee and Federal Minister, Dr. Farooq Sattar said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will continue to remain in contact, Geo News reported Tuesday.
While talking to media along with PPP leader Pir Mazharul Haq after a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari here, he said the MQM delegation called on the President at Bilawal House in a meeting also attended by Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and governor Ishratul Ibad among others.
‘We discussed various issues including energy and law and order and the development projects.’
It was decided that the committee would be formed to implement the decisions taken in the meeting of Core Committee, he informed.
‘We will work in agreement with each other for the Democracy and stability of the country,’ Sattar vowed adding the process of social progress and the people to people contacts would be furthered.
Mazhar said all the decisions were made with consensus, adding the issue relating Hyderabad will be amicably resolved.
Pir Mazhar said no bill was tabled in the Assembly without consultations, adding the anti-Pakistan elements would not be allowed to plot against the democracy.
The PPP leader said the decisions which were taken with consultations under reconciliation, are beneficial for Sindh.
Sattar said President Zardari assured the delegation of every possible cooperation.
