ISLAMABAD: Ex-Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Kanwar Dilshah, said Tuesday that all degrees were not securitized due to the strong objections came from the political parties in General Election 2008.

The election commission carried out inspection of the degrees, which were challenged, he told Geo correspondent Sarfaraz Raja in Islamabad.

The former CEC official said all the returning officers were handed over Guide Books of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. However, he said almost all parties raised objections, saying the CEC should not become a party on this issue and the matter be left to the then judiciary, which had showed flexibility at that time.
