Elements creating unrest will be punished, says Zardari
ISLAMABAD: The government will ensure law and order in Karachi and those involved in the target killing incidents will be penalised, President Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday during a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah who had called on Zardari at the Presidency. According to sources, the president expressed grief over the recent target killing incidents and directed the provincial government to take immediate steps to ensure law and order, particularly in Karachi. “The allies should also be taken on board to improve the overall situation in the provincial capital,” he said, adding Interior Minister Rehman Malik is already in touch with different political parties. Zardari also directed the provincial minister to take into confidence the MQM, ANP and other political and religious parties to deal with the situation in Karachi. online
