Karachi killings toll rises to 40
KARACHI: Horror once again came to haunt the streets of Karachi, as at least 40 people have died in grisly incidents of target killings over the past few days.
A policeman Obaid s/o Muhammed Yousuf was gunned down by unidentified men in Korangi last night.
Also, some arms wielding motorcyclists shot down former councilor Abdul Ghani and Eidi Amin Khaskheli, who was the Coordinator of Qadir Patel—chairman of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Home Affairs.
Later on, Qadir Amin announced to resign from his NA seat and chairmanship of the Standing Committee in protest against the killings.
This morning, Ajab Khan, 30, and Habib Khan, 24 were injured in firing incident by the motorcyclists near old Sabzi Mandi. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
