Amin Fahim hopes judiciary will do justice
LAHORE: Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Federal Minister for Trade, Makhdoom Amin Fahim said the President had immunity under the Constitution, hoping that the judiciary will justly dispense of the matter.
Talking to media at Lahore airport, he said the party has decided that some ministers would appear before the Supreme Court (SC); therefore, their visits abroad were cancelled.
Amin Fahim said Pakistan was being run under the Constitution and the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had already said there was no conflict between judiciary and the Parliament.
The federal minister said the 37 killings in Karachi was a provincial subject; however, it was incumbent upon both the Law and the government to plunge into motion on the issue.
The coalition with Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) is a political decision and it will continue, he added.
