Application filed for registration of FIR against Fauzia
LAHORE: A local court on Monday put off till May 27 the hearing of an application seeking registration of a case against PPP MNA Fauzia Wahab for her remarks on Quran and the constitution.The applicant, Mehwish Chaudhry, argued Fauzia’s remarks have hurt the sentiments of Muslims. Therefore, the court should order the Nishtar Town Police Station to file an FIR against Fauzia under Section 295-A and C.
Additional Session Judge Sajjad Sheikh heard the application and ordered the SHO of said police station to appear before the court on May 27 after seeking explanation from Fauzia Wahab.
