Punjab govt warned in advance: Rehman Malik
LAHORE: The Punjab government had already been informed that terrorists could target minorities in the province, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday. According to a private TV channel, Malik said the provincial government had also been informed about a terrorist named Abdul Jabbar and about the attacks that took place on May 13 and 26. Malik said the Tehreek-e-Taliban or al Qaeda could be responsible for the recent killings in Lahore, as the banned organisations had been involved in such terrorist activities earlier. daily times monitor
