Petition against PM in LHC for contempt of court
LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) against the Prime Minister for contempt of court.The petitioner, Engineer Ghulam Jilani prayed to the court to award punishment to the Prime Minster for contempt of court because the latter had issued a statement in favor of the President’s holding two positions at a time when the full court of LHC is hearing the case in this regard.
Engineer Ghulam Jilani termed the PM’s statement a bid to exert influence on the court and it is tantamount to contempt of court.
