Bid to kidnap Rehman Malik’s brother foiled
LAHORE: An attempt to kidnap Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s brother was foiled by his driver in Islamabad, a private TV channel reported on Sunday. Unidentified armed men attempted to stop Khalid Malik outside the Ministers Enclave when he was leaving his residence in a car. However, the armed men fled from the scene after the driver sped away and reached a nearby police checkpost. Another channel quoted police sources as saying that the kidnappers in a Land Cruiser followed the brother of the interior minister when he came out of the Ministers Enclave. The kidnappers managed to flee when they saw police on the Margalla Road. daily times monitor
