‘US should consider situation of Pakistan objectively’
By Asghar Azad
KARACHI: Institutions of the United States should consider the situation of Pakistan objectively before releasing any report against the country since furnishing irresponsible and fabricated reports would not only harm the country but will also affect the US stakes in region.
The renowned journalist Azfar Shah Bukhari in an interview with Daily Times stated this.
He said that the foreign institutions should hail the positive approach of Pakistan and highlight its progressive face as the current peace that has been established across the world owes to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s military and political circles.
Commenting over the operation against terrorists in tribal areas, Bukhari said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is a joint venture of several mafias working to destabilise the country. “They are nothing but a number of paid killers and their only purpose is to push the country to a civil war by wiping out the state writ”.
Bukhari further said that after the withdrawal of former Soviet Union from Afghanistan the so-called Jehadi organisations along with other criminal elements had established their sanctuaries in the region and due to the lawlessness, the region had been a safe haven for such mafias and hardliners. He warned the global forces to keep in mind that if Pakistan lost this war, global peace would not be maintained in any condition as almost every terrorist incident across the world is somehow connected to this region unfortunately.
“Our military and political leadership is continuously giving sacrifices just to maintain national as well as global peace”, he added.
