Nisar wants joint sitting to be kept open

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar has called for keeping open the upcoming joint session of the parliament instead holding it in-camera, saying the people should know the reality, Geo News reported Thursday.

Talking on a point of order on the floor of NA, he said in case it is not possible to keep the whole sitting open then at least some portion of it should be kept so.

Chauhdry Nisar said those who would come for giving the briefing will actually be presenting themselves before the joint parliamentary session, and that it would not be the other way round.

He said instead of long question/answer session the focus should be on maximization of the number of questions and answers.
