Shafqat appointed PPP’s US President
By: Raja Zahid A KhanzadaDALLAS: In-charge PPP Overseas Units and the Assistant Political Secretary (APS) to the Co-Chairman MNA Fauzia Habib has emailed to PPP USA leader Khalid Awan that the Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party has directed that No US PPP Organization shall be announced by him or any other person, as he is not office bearer of PPP US Organization.
Mr. Shafqat Tanveer is the PPP’s new US President, nominated by Co-Chairman PPP, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari.
In her email, she wrote, “You have no authority to take decisions regarding party matters.”
Moreover, Fauzia Habib said there is a procedure and system within the party, by which party decisions are made for final approval of the Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari therefore any such appointments/recommendations announced by him or anyone else would not have any acceptability/recognition by the party.
Meanwhile president PPP USA Mr. Shafqat Tanveer thanked to Co-Chairman and advised to the PPP chapters in US that no one would cooperate Khalid Awan, if someone is involved in breaking party policies so party will take action against him.
