Nisar calls for joint/open sitting of parliament

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Wednesday termed the breach of PNS Mehran a massive security negligence and called for summoning an open meeting of the joint parliamentary sitting whereby the people responsible for the lapse be identified, Geo News reported.

Talking to a group of journalists in Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar said Pakistan is in the control of ineligible rulers who have no affiliation whatsoever with the country. The time is ripe for not posing the questions but getting all the answers, he asserted.

“The Karachi tragedy has exposed the reality that the country is on fire while the rulers are playing a humiliating game that is even worse than Nero,” he said, adding the Karachi incident was a result of huge security lapse on which the parliament must be taken into confidence and the parliament be apprised on the progress of formation of the independent commission.

He said, according to Naval Chief the incident was not result of a security lapse. “Can he (Naval Chief) describe what constitutes a security lapse?” he asked.

Chadhary Nisar said the facts instead of being concealed be presented before the public.
