Sindh Govt. constitutes joint probe team for PNS Mehran attack
KARACHI: Sindh government Sunday constituted joint interrogation team for investigations into the PNS Mehran attack, Geo News reported.Home department sources told that the Sindh home department has issued the orders for the constitution of joint investigation team on the directive of the federal interior ministry.
The joint investigation team comprises of military intelligence, ISI, IB, police Rangers, core intelligence and other investigation organizations.
The joint team would be reviewing the reports of the investigations thus far made and would be taking forward their own investigations from different angles. The team besides investigating the terrorists’ links within and outside would also focus on security lapses.
Following terrorists’ attack on PNS Mehran, different investigation organizations were probing into the incident within their perimeters.
It may be recalled that scores of Pak Navy personnel and Rangers were martyred and two hi-tech P-3C Orion aircrafts were destroyed by the terrorists’ May 22 night attack on PNS Mehran.
