USAID operations challenged in LHC
LAHORE: A petitioner has challenged the USAID operations in Pakistan in the Lahore High Court (LHC) here.
The petitioner, Advocate Akram Raja has made a plea that the court should take a notice of the USAID activities, which are against our national sovereignty, as these organizations by providing assistance try prevailing over the governance in the country and pressurizing the government.
Raja in his petition has also prayed that the nation be informed under which law the USAID is working in Pakistan.
Later, LHC issued notice to the federal government on the petition filed challenging the USAID activities in the country.
