PML-Q to table resolution on Hazara province in NA

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Thursday said a consensus resolution would be tabled in the National Assembly on Friday (today) calling for creating Hazara province. Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said the law minister would table a resolution seeking consent of the House for the creation of Hazara province. He welcomed the passage of Saraiki province resolution and said more provinces must be created. The PML-Q, he said, had been struggling for southern Punjab province for the last three years. Shujaat threatened to part ways with the ruling alliance if PPP opposed the resolution. He also ruled out a grand opposition alliance led by the PML-N. “I don’t see any grand opposition alliance in future,” he said. staff report/app
