Siachen rescue operation continuesRAWALPINDI: In spite of harsh weather, the army has continued rescue activities at Gayari sector in Siachen for the last one month with all possible efforts and manpower, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
The ISPR said excavators were working at seven sites and the efforts to restore a water channel were underway round the clock.
It may be mentioned here that 139 soldiers of Northern Light Infantry and 11 civilians came under a huge snowslide in Gayari sector of Siachen on April 7. app
