‘PML-Q first party to call for new provinces’LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Shujaat Hussain and the party’s central leader and senior minister Parvez Elahi on Wednesday said the PML-Q was the first national party whose Central Executive Committee in its meeting in Islamabad adopted a resolution unanimously calling for creation of new provinces to give people their due rights.
They expressed these views in a meeting with elected representatives and party leaders from southern Punjab and Bahawalpur. The PML-Q leaders felicitated the people of southern Punjab and Bahawalpur on the adoption of a resolution in the Punjab Assembly for creation of new provinces.
They said the people of southern Punjab and Bahawalpur deserved special felicitation that with the adoption of a resolution by the Punjab Assembly, even the opponents had accepted their right to separate provinces. staff report
