PTI can beak the status quo: Asad Umer
KARACHI: Asad Umer, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engro Corporations who joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf last month has said that his party is committed to breaking the status quo, Geo News reported.
Speaking in Geo News programme “Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Saath” on Friday, Asad Umer said the reason why he joined Imran Khan’s PTI was his belief in this party’s commitment and will to form a policy that could bring about a much needed change that the entire Pakistani nation today wished for.
He was of the opinion that the other major political parties of the country were unable to bring that change because ‘not only they were part of the existing system but also drew their power it’.
Umer said Imran Khan and his party is not in power, therefore, it had the capacity to devise a plan that the people could relate to and then implement it in accordance with the aspirations of the people to break the status quo.
