PTI against resumption of NATO supplies: Imran

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said his party opposed the reopening of NATO supply routes. He was addressing a press conference at his residence. On this occasion, Malik Nazar Farid Khokhar, Chaudhry Mubashar, Nayyar Hussain, Sardar Tariq Wattoo, Fazal Abbas Wattoo and others from Depalpur and Gujrat announced joining the PTI. Khan said the government had used the issue of reopening of NATO supply routes as a bargain chip for getting more money from the US. He said, “PTI opposes reopening of NATO supply routes and will plan appropriate action in this regard. We dismiss all government measures which have proved fatal for innocent people and have increased instability in the country.” Pakistani people had been paying the cost with their blood for the war which didn’t belong to them, the PTI chief said, adding that his party held the government responsible for the killings of innocent citizens of Pakistan. staff report
