Country's sovereignty in danger under present rulers
HAFIZABAD: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the country's sovereignty faced danger under the present rulers, urging the people that time had come to send them packing, Geo News reported.
Addressing a public meeting held here as part of PML-N's ongoing 'Go Gilani Go' campaign, Nawaz Sharif said 'Gilani sahab will have to accept the decision of the people and step down from of his office that he continues to cling on despite being convicted'.
He said his party was currently waging the same sort of struggle against the incumbent government that it had to carry out against former president Pervez Musharraf.
"The country is in danger under the present rulers," he said and called upon the people to support him in bringing about a revolution to save the country.
The PML-N President said the rulers were destroying Pakistan and asked the people to give one final push to the crumbling set up of the present government. This government no longer deserves to stay in power, he added.
Later, the PML-N rally witnessed some disorder when some of the participating workers got physical with one another and exchanged blows.
