Every option to be used to rid country of corrupt rulers: Nawaz* Body formed to make election alliance with JUP-N
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that every option would be utilised to rid the country of corrupt rulers.
Nawaz was talking to a delegation led by Owais Noorani, chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan-Noorani (JUP-N) on Monday.
During the meeting, both leaders agreed to make efforts for elimination of corruption, corrupt government, inflation and unemployment from the country. They assured each other to continue contact in the future.
Current political situation, worsening law and order situation, including increasing target killing in Karachi and other issues of the country came under discussion during the meeting.
Nawaz told the delegation that progress of the country stopped due to wrong policies of the government, which was further adding to problems of people with each passing day.
PML-N Information Secretary Mushahidullah, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Dr Asif, and from JUP, Peer Ijaz Hashmi and Qari Zawar Bahdur, were present on the occasion.
Nawaz said that there was no government worth its name in the country as target killing in Karachi was increasing and all institutions had failed in maintaining law and order situation in Karachi and Balochistan.
The PML-N chief said that the country was destroyed, as the rulers were only interested in saving their power. He said that they would not allow the government to play with fate of the country and they would use every option for foiling the nefarious designs of the rulers.
During the meeting, a six-member committee, consisting of members from both the parties, was set up for an alliance in general elections. inp
