Khar to visit Japan; participate in conference on Future of Asia

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will embark on her first visit to Japan from May 23 - 26 and apprise her counterpart Pakistan's active role against extremism and terrorism.During the visit on the invitation of the government of Japan, the minister will hold bilateral talks with her Japanese counterpart Koichiro Gemba on bilateral regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The foreign minister's visit will further strengthen and deepen the existing relationship between Pakistan and Japan including development cooperation.
Khar will also participate in the 18th Annual Conference on "Future of Asia", sponsored by Nikkei Group, Japan.
She will speak on `Pakistan's Perspective on the Future of Asia' and how Pakistan was contributing and making efforts towards peaceful and sustainable development of Asia. (APP)
