Karachi: President reviews law & order situation
By PPIKARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday called for constituting a task force of all relevant agencies for preempting any untoward incident.
Chairing a high level meeting here, he suggested for devising a mechanism for according prior approval of holding of public rallies.
The meeting which was briefed on recent attack on a passenger bus in district Benazirabad‚ firing on participants of rally in Karachi‚ killing of political leader Muzaffar Bhutto and law and order situation in the province was attended by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan‚ Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah‚ Ministers and senior officials of Police, Rangers and intelligence agencies.
