We brought about "change" but others are touting it: Nawaz Sharif
SARGODHA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), spearhead, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Wednesday vowed to overwhelm power loadshedding, which had been baffling the nation for the last so many years, Geo News reported.
“I urge the people of Pakistan to vote for PML-N if they wanted to rid themselves of these longstanding problems”, said he.
Hitting out at Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader, Imran Khan, he said it was it was hard to understand where some leaders were trying to find the youth.
“The “change” that they are touting now actually was brought about in our heyday”, said he.
He said PML-N would bring about a revolution hand-in-hand with the youth of Pakistan.
“We will empower the youth to stand on their own two feet by making them financially self-supporting”, said he.
His tirade against Imran Khan did not lose steam till the end of his address.
Smirking form ear to ear, PML-N leader said that those who think Nawaz Sharif had come of age better know he was young as ever.
“In fact those who were trying to beguile the youth with their tricky slogans were actually suffering from the delusion they were still youthful”, said a playful Sharif.
The "merit" ruled supreme when PML-N was in power as it never compromised over it.
