ECP demands foolproof security for CEC
ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) expressing reservations over ‘insufficient security’ for Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ibrahim demanded to provide foolproof security to him.
In a letter written to Election Commissioner Sindh, Police Inspector General and Chief Secretary, the ECP said that the guards that are deployed at the CEC residence after a theft incident are not performing their duties well.
The ECP warned that any untoward incident may occurred due to insufficient security.
It demanded to ensure foolproof security at the residence and office of the CEC.
